In September of 2017, I was invited to the University of East London to be a guest on the Terrorism and Extremism Research Centre's podcast, Talking Terror. In this episode of the series, Dr. John Morrison asks me about how I got involved with terrorism research, the role of communication in radicalization and terrorism, and my push to "get my hands dirty" and collect real-world data to test our theories about violent extremism.
